Dr. Rashid Zaman works as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Bedford (Beds and Luton Partnership NHS Trust-BLPT) and in Department of Psychiatry, University of Cambridge.
Graduate of Cambridge University, having trained in General Practice, he trained in Psychiatry at Charing Cross and St Mary’s Hospitals in London. Prior to being appointed as consultant, he worked as Lecturer in Psychiatry in Imperial College, London.
He has authored Churchill’s Pocketbook of Psychiatry and several academic papers in peer reviewed journals. He has also given lectures at national and international conferences. His research interests include, application of Transcranial magnetic stimulation in Psychiatry, Biomarkers, Psychosis and Bipolar Disorders.
He is a director of Bedfordshire Centre for Mental Health Research in association with Cambridge University (www.bcmhr-cu.org).
He is an examiner for both the Royal College of Psychiatrist (UK) and University of Cambridge.
He is now the new chair of psychiatry group of South Asian Health Foundation (www.sahf.org.uk)

Dr Shahid Zaman
|
|
Shahid Zaman is an academic psychaitrist in Cambridge. He is a SAHF trustee, Governance lead for SAHF and a member of the mental health working group. He is a neuropsychiatrist and a neuroscientist working as a clinician in the field of developmental psychiatry. He has published in the areas of synaptic plasticity relating to memory, autism and dementia. His interests are in developing treatments for cognitive impairement in people with intellectual (or learning) disabilities such as in people with Down’s syndrome
