Dr Rubin Minhas

Dr Minhas Patron for Greater London and South East: he was recently appointed to the position of the Clinical Director for the BMJ Evidence Centre and remains a part time GP. He is a standing member of the Appraisal Committee for the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), was Chairman of the NICE Familail Hypercholesterolaemia Guideline and has served on NICE guidelines for both primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. Dr Minhas is an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Clinical Practice, an external reviewer for the National Prescribing Centre and member of the Society for Medical Decison Making, British Cardiac Society and the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society. He is a recipient of a 2008-09 Harkness Fellowship undertaken at the RAND Corporation, California, the largest policy think tank in the world. He is a leading figure in the cardiovascular and primary care community within the UK.
