The SAHF Ramadan Conference, themed “Ramadan and Beyond Ramadan”, explores the wider health considerations of fasting both during Ramadan and throughout the year.
The programme will examine how different forms of fasting affect wellbeing, metabolic health, medication use, and the management of long-term conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Sessions will also cover nutrition, hydration, and practical approaches to maintaining balance and energy while fasting. By taking a broad, healthcare-focused perspective, the conference provides clear, evidence-based guidance for individuals who fast for religious, cultural, or voluntary reasons, as well as for healthcare professionals supporting them.
Cancellation Policy:
Attendance is free, but late cancellations (after Friday 19th December, 2026) will incur a £20 fee and no-shows will be charged £45.
