Help Shape Heart Health Information for South Asian Communities

The South Asian Health Foundation (SAHF) is working in partnership with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to improve heart health information for South Asian communities.

We know that people from South Asian backgrounds are at higher risk of heart disease. Yet too often, health information is not tailored to reflect cultural context, lived experience, or preferred ways of accessing support. This session is an opportunity for community members to directly influence how heart health information is designed and delivered in the future.

About the Session

We are inviting individuals aged 40 and over, from a South Asian background, to take part in a discussion session in Birmingham on:

Sunday 22 February 2026

11:00am – 2:00pm

Birmingham (venue to be confirmed)

During the session, we will explore:

  • Feedback on current heart health information

  • What works well and what could be improved

  • Gaps in existing resources

  • Preferred ways to access health information

Your insights will help shape more effective, culturally relevant resources that better serve South Asian communities.

Who Can Take Part?

We are looking for participants who:

  • Identify as being from a South Asian background

  • Are aged 40 or over

  • Have heart disease, high cholesterol, or high blood pressure

Why Attend?

By taking part, you will contribute to the development of clearer, more accessible heart health information that reflects the needs of your community.

As a thank you for your time, participants will receive a £30 voucher.
